Background Information
The Solarian Lore
Obel’jon has many names throughout ancient Solarian history, including the Dark God, Obel’jon, the Lord of Watchers, and of course simply, O'bel. In Solarian lore it is believed that sometime during the creation of the Nomaverse the almighty god N'oma created O'bel before he created anything else. The reason is argued by many, some believed that even as a god Noma needed a helping hand and so created himself a helper. Others believed O'bel was created on accident when Noma expelled the dark and chaotic energies from Perma Tarn, also known as the "perfect" dimension.
O'bel was once believed by many Eastern Solarians to have been purely evil with the worst intentions, while many Western Solarians saw him as "The Maker" which is yet another of his many names. The Westerners believed that O'bel, not N'oma, was the creator of the Solarian Galaxy. Before the Second Flux many Westerners worshipped O'bel as their only god. Westerners held firm to the belief that the only God that truly existed was O'bel and everyone else was wrong. They also firmly believed that N'oma was nothing more than a name used by the "fools of the eastern lands". It isn’t for certain what happened to the Westerners after the Second Flux, some believe those that were “chosen” had been taken to a safe haven by O'bel himself, while those Westerners who were not chosen simply fled into the sea to become one with the oceans of planet Solaris. It had later been discovered those that had fled into the oceans were none other than the Aqualarions.
It is said that O'bel has made several deals with the "believers" of planet Solaris over the years and it is said that because of this an entire league of Elders were brought together as the group known as the “Watchers”. It is believed their power and abilities are gifts from O'bel, and they do his bidding as he requests of them.
