Primary Weapon:

Yew Longbow - This bow stands nearly as tall as its current wielder at four and a half feet long. Unlike the modern bows offered in the market, this weapon is fashioned from a rare Yew tree--not a species currently found or perhaps not yet discovered on Solaris. Once belonging to the elf Hanzu, Kia wanted to once again have it as a useful memento to replace her poorly made training bow that had really only been helpful at hunting small game. The flexible nature of the wood allows for greater force to be placed behind a pull without worry the bow might snap. Her quiver holds a great deal of arrows so she never has to worry about running out in a fight or long hunting trip, but five of these arrows contain a tip covered with a special salve made from the spores of the mad caps. When an opponent is hit with one of these arrows they are temporarily poisoned causing their movements to slow, dodge being cut in half for 3 turns. The effects do not stack, so she’s can’t hit someone with two arrows in a row to have their dodge further reduced. Because mad caps are hard to harvest for their venom, these special arrows, marked with a green feather, are reserved for difficult battles and hunts.

Secondary Weapon:

Plasma Scythe - Before running away from home to relieve her grief stricken mother of the burden of raising her, Kia took her father’s most prized weapon. This scythe is disguised as a short wooded walking stick, with a small holster to keep it held firmly onto one’s back. A button/knob combination at the tip allows for quick extension of the shaft with a press and release of the plasma with a twist. The length of the hilt can be varied between three and five feet and is determined by how long the button is held in. The plasma blade stretches out two feet. (Class: Light)

Accessories:

Ebony Earrings - These two earrings are made of blackened cie with a black opal mounted on them. These earrings allow Chibi to create two shadow copies of herself thanks to the enchantment placed on them by Drake. These shadows can be clearly defined as not being real in the day but in low light even those with relatively good eyesight could easily mistake the shadows as living beings. The shadows register as Chibi in scanning and energy detection. The copies can move and sometimes even speak independently, adding a greater element of confusion for anyone trying to fight in the dark.

Gold Locket - This was the only possession Kia had when her adopted parents found her near death on the side of the road. It now holds two pictures. One is with her biological parents, her brother as a young child, and a newborn Kia. The other space she filled with a picture of her adopted family. This locket seems harmless enough, but hidden behind a picture is a small vial containing a powerful liquid. The chemical has similar effects to nitroglycerine but is slightly more stable. This is only to be used as a last resort, as the user will most likely be killed in the impending explosion, which causes ten thousand physical damage instantly to anyone in a hundred yard radius including Kia. Damage reduction still applies to this blast.

Hanzu's Charm - This charm was given to Hanzu as a gift from a wizard friend for aiding in the recovery of a lost artifact. It does not reflect, nor absorb, but rather stops all fire attacks from harming the wearer or any of the items that the wearer is currently holding. Hanzu gave the necklace to Kia after growing closer to her and wishing to help protect her. Kia now wears the plain silver chain with a red stone on her at all times. (Notes: 100% Fire Damage Resistance)

Zidalus Band - Given to her by Hanzu, it served as a wedding ring in his life and a sweet memento for the widow. The stone in the center of the ring is a light blue color and the ring itself is made from solid Cie. This mark as the former druid’s bride gains her even more favor with the forces of the world, augmenting her bond with the elements and adding .05 elemental potency to her attacks. If the ring is removed, the damage increase is lost.

Trinkets:

Phantom Blade - At only two feet in total length this is more like a long dagger than a sword. The steel blade was the first weapon that Kia’s papa gave her to train with. It is dazzling to look at with a glittering faux gem at the top and a polished silver hilt, but not very powerful. She keeps it for nostalgic reasons. It is rarely used except in emergency situations when her scythe is disabled. Though it is also rare that she would even be carrying it around. It’s normally stored away somewhere safe. (Class: Light)

Level 5 Ability:

Star Laser - Not only a master of shadows, she also enjoys using any abilities involving the night. This one her Papa helped her develop. Even though he was not a Lunarian he knew the importance of keeping her training focused on her birth element. The laser beam itself is made of shadow energy, therefore hard to see during the night, unlike a star. It’s deadly precise, but any opponent with agility higher than hers has much better chance of dodging it. Kia likes to aim this attack towards an opponent’s eyes to disorient them long enough to prepare the next attack or escape. (Action Ability)

Level 15 Ability:

Void of Darkness - As a shadow Lunarian, Chibi has exceptional control over darkness. This ability takes a little concentration but yields marvelous results. An entire area is completely deprived of light. No one is able to see through the pitch-blackness except for the abilities initiator. If the attack is performed outdoors or in an expansive room, the effect will only cover the distance of one square kilometer. The shadows quickly move from the outside inward, sometimes allowing her to hide the fact that the ability is even being instigated. This greatly hinders anyone who hasn’t yet mastered the art of energy detection or has a poor sense of hearing. (Action Ability)

Kia's past...

Kia Braley was born to Lunarian parents whose ancestors had escaped to the planet Braxis after the destruction of Lunaria. Her early childhood was relatively happy and normal until the day a demon attacked her home, killing her parents and older brother. Her only memory of the attack is a long scar running over her right eye that she shamefully covers with a lock of hair. A young Protoss couple (reptile humanoids, the only intelligent being originally from the planet) found the injured child and adopted her. She grew accustomed to her new life of learning and training. Her adopted father taught her how to defend herself with weapons and attack using magical shadow energies.

After being very comfortable in her situation for a few years, tragedy struck once again. Her beloved “Papa Reinonin” suddenly was plagued by a past illness that quickly took his young life. Kia was unaware of his fragile health and guilt overtook her young mind. Unfortunately children have a way of deducing that everything is somehow their fault. Her new mother’s grief was so deep that she slowly lost her sanity. Kia left knowing the woman was in no condition to raise a child. She stole away in the middle of the night taking her father’s precious scythe with her. The only place she knew to run was a far away planet her Papa often spoke of. A place full of strong fighters that he himself had hoped to one day visit. So to fulfill that dream in his stead she headed to the nearest military place to procure a ship. Once causing much mayhem she managed to sail away towards Solaris.

She trains to gain strength in hopes of one day avenging the murder of her biological parents. She disposed of her real name and prefers to go by Chibi Kia, the affectionate nickname her brother had given her and one of the few things she remembers before her life with the Protoss. Upon arriving on Solaris she befriended several people including a young elfin boy named Hanzu. She also eventually discovered that the aloft Lunarian man who called himself Niccon was her older brother who had been searching for her.

Though Chibi is normally her rambunctious childish self, occasionally her alter ego, whom she had named Wisper, would take complete control of her body without her knowledge. Wisper was in fact a separate soul inhabited inside the young girl. It is unclear why she was there, but apparently she was meant to completely take control of the body. The death of Kia’s parents left her with enough compassion to remain with the child and she took a role as a split personality. The only visible indication of her presence was an eye color change to gray from her usual deep crimson. Wisper was eventually able to gain her own body and left the child, but they still have a very close connection.

Kia took the opportunity to train within the Book of Solaris with Ryu, where time passes much more quickly than in the real world. She aged five years physically, but Wisper was in control the majority of the time and Chibi herself remained relatively unchanged. After returning to the realm of Solaris, she reconnected with Hanzu. Eventually she became the young elf’s bride and they lived a relatively peaceful life somewhere in the forest. After many years of wedded bliss, Hanzu was murdered and Kia regressed into a pained solitude within their secluded home in the woods. She’s rarely seen in public anymore, but has slowly healed. She’s still playful and adventurous. Even through the several hardships that have plagued her life, she still manages to find enjoyment and develop close camaraderie on this planet overflowing with skilled fighters.
