The Dragori, as an adult, can stand from 4-6 feet high at the shoulder. They are serpentine in appearance, but have three pairs of limbs. The Dragori have four clawed limbs used for running, while the limbs in the front serve as their deadly weapons, each 'arm' bearing a scythelike bone. Feathers erupt from behind their snakelike head, either colored iridescent green or blue depending on their stripes. They have a long neck and tail, showing their anguine heritage. However, they have an uncanny ability to camoflage themselves, due to their unique cell structure.

Like most species, they are smaller and weaker during their youthful stages, averaging about 1-3 feet in height at the shoulder. However, at this time it is the most difficult to catch one, since they are so likely to slip into the comforting forest foliage.

When they are in their twilight years, they are the most powerful and dangerous. Though the cell deterioration keeps them from their chameleonic abilities, their power and strength are not diminished, and their considerable intellect is at its finest. Some of the Twilight Dragori can even use spells at their leisure.

Emerald scale Dragori make excellent pets, since taming one is not all that difficult and they tend to generally be friendly; however, they are headstrong, and teaching an Emeraldscale who is the master may take time. Azurescale Dragori are only good as a Wizard's familiar, since most of these creatures would rather die then be the slave of someone they consider unintelligent; in order to even tame one, the Wisdom score of the individual must be at least 40% higher then the Dragori's. Crimsonscales are the most difficult, as they tend to literally explode when angered or provoked. Still, if tamed, the chaotic Crimsonscales make fantastic warrior-pets.

The young Dragori are nimble creatures, and often attack using stealth and power. They usually attack using their scythelike bones on their front limbs, then fleeing into shadows to wait for an opponents weakness. As an adult, they have less agility and more strength, able to go toe-to-toe with a warrior of high PL and not die. At the Twilight, they tend to use their intelligence to talk their way out of a battle, or to cast magic to imprison the being so it can flee.

These beings were originally thought to be a native reptilian animal corrupt by Wraithen magics, for in appearance the Dragori looked identical to the six-legged Dracolytes commanded by the Wraithqueen. However, upon closer studying, they were found to be a natural descendent of a common snake, very small in size, that had dwelled upon Solaris before the Flux. Their more advanced abilities are still arguable as to whether they came from the energies of the Flux or otherworldly interference.

The Dragori live in whatever dense forests they can find. The Azurescale tribe lives in relatively colder climates, closer to bodies of water, while the Emeraldscale tribe lives in hotter, dense forests. The Crimsonscale tribe live on the hottest areas of the planet, where only the most potent of trees survive.

The Dragori are hatched from eggs that are fertilized externally, much like a serpent's. The eggs are about six inches in length, with a tough leathery shell that is very difficult to crack. The gestation period is between two to four months, and the young is typically twice the length of the egg. They are ready to mate after attaining adulthood, which takes three to five years. Males never lose their ability to mate, while females generally stop laying eggs once they reach Twilight at thirty to fourty years.

As mentioned before, the Dragori are separated into tribes depending on their scale color. All of them are nearly identical in color, but their feathers and stripes are either blue, green, or red. The Azurescale tribe is the most intelligent and least common of the three Tribes, hiding out in the bodies of water and honing their intelligence for manipulation and magic, which even their young can use. The Emeraldscale are by far the most common, and some of the most friendly animals. They are naturally curious and are not truly afraid of anything. The Crimsonscale tribe could be considered evil, for they are unnaturally territorial and destructive.

At the head of each Tribe is an Elder, who is chosen by age. Usually these beings are in their Twilight years and therefore almost eight feet high at the shoulder. These beings are usually the most intelligent of their kind, and can learn rudiments of Solarian tongues in order to communicate. The Elder has their Favored Mate, who is just as revered as the Elder, and then underneathe them are their children, their children's children, outsiders, and so forth.

The Dragori communicate through a type of instinctive telepathy, using images and appeal to emotional responses rather than using actual words. It is through this 'speech' that the Dragori are able to form their Tribes and learn their magic. However, when it comes to actual speech, the Azurescales are the only Dragori who can use basic Solarian at a young age.

Their weakness varies with their tribe. Azurescales are weak towards fire, Crimsonscales hate Ice, and Emeraldscales are weak towards heavy plasma damage. Most overcome this by slipping into the shadows of the forest.
