The Nu'Leeth are a twisted vampiric offshoot of the Nu' Lath. Physically they appear similar to the Nu'Lath, but due to their mutated genetic makeup they are nothing like their plant cousins. They are unable to transform into a tree, can draw nutrient from neither earth nor sun, and are highly cunning in trapping their prey. Covered with intertwining vines, branches, and leaves, the Nu'Leeth greatly resembles the humanoid figure of its Nu' Lath counterpart. Walking, however, is altogether different. This creature has two main vines that it uses as legs but those legs are surrounded by many many vines that it can send into and through the ground towards an unwary victim.

Nu'Leeth have spread all throughout the vegetated areas of Solaris. They are often seen in swamps, mainly hanging around clearings that posess fresh and rare spring water. They make use of their abilities by blending in with their surroundings, waiting for unwary beasts to come near and drink.

The Nu'Leeth can reproduce simply by opening its torso and tearing off a chunk of its core and matching it up with the core of another Nu'Leeth. Only Nu'Leeth's can reproduce with Nu'Leeths due to their mutations and evolution. As the cores begin to fuse, it will be planted into the ground like a seed, and this is the only time that the Nu'Leeth uses the ground for nutrition.

The Nu'Leeth usually works alone but is sometimes seen hunting in a group of up to four others. Usually if hunting in a pack they will have the oldest and most wise of the four lead them through the hunt. Other than these occurences the Nu'Leeth funcions alone.

They have the natural ability to blend in with the trees around them although lacking the natural ability to transform into a tree. With root-shaped legs they can walk around like a humanoid but that is about the only human-like trait about them. Being unable to feed like a plant, Nu'Leeth rely on a more direct approach. They will constrict their prey with vines, get under their flesh, and drain the life from them. Unable to speak aloud, the Nu'Leeths have developed the ability to speak telepathically to one another. Still much is unknown about these creatures for they have just recently been discovered.

Due to their predatory nature, Nu'Leeth will only accompany something outside of its own race if it proves itself to be a better hunter. They can perceive this person to be the pack leader, up until the Nu'Leeth believes itself to be stronger. They are constantly hungry, and always willing to fight anything that will provide it nourishment. They will do what it takes to protect its pack, however.

If the vines of the Nu'Leeth are cut off or removed by some means it cannot instanly regenerate them. It would have to find a powerful being to drain the life force from to regain its vines. If the Nu' Leeth finds this source it can then start to regenerate vines but they will start growing as if it were a newborn making it a long process for the creature to regain its original vine length. The only other weakness' of the Nu' Leeth is its core, if the core can be completely removed and then destroyed entirely only then can the Nu' Leeth completely die. Although it's a very difficult task to get to this core because not only is it covered by its body, but on the outer edges of the core it is completely covered in a thick and almost unpenetrable woven layer of bark.
