Element Name:
Demi
Bordering Elements:
Fire, Stone
Strong Against:
Fire
Weak Against:
Sylphid

Demi, like ice, has a rather peculiar distinction from the other elements, in that it has dominion over only one other element, instead of two, and is weak versus only one other element, instead of only two. Because it is in the minority, some scholars have often considered it to be a psudo-element. However, this would not explain the vast dissimilarity between the elements fire and stone; if demi were not a part of the Elemental Wheel, then these two elements would border, but it has been shown that fire users do not control stone and vice-versa. Even taken in its own light, demi is a rather strange element as it is most commonly described as the element of “physics”. Demi is considered to be the overriding element in gravity, inertia, and momentum and it is jovially stated that a technologically advanced culture that doesn’t recognize these effects to be controlled by a natural elemental force might as well be eating raw meat with stone tools.
Base Wisdom of 50:
Extension - A demi user wielding a blunt weapon (or using his fists) can use it to make ranged attacks up to 10 feet by creating a shockwave of demi force as his weapon seemingly collides with air, several feet from its intended, and maybe unaware, target. Damage from an extension attack is identical to what it would be if the attack connected normally. No parry attempts may be made against such an attack. Once the demi user makes an extension attack, he may not make another for his next two turns. (Action Ability)
Base Wisdom of 100:
Gravity Flux - A demi user can change the gravity in a 10 foot radius from himself, shifting it anywhere from one-quarter to four times normal gravity. All within the area, including the caster himself along with enemies and objects, are affected. This effect will last until the user decides to remove it. When under the effects of reduced gravity, characters feel lighter and are granted a 50% to Dodge SVS against any attack, but under the effects of increased gravity, characters feel burdened and receives a 50% penalty to Hit SVS when making physical attacks. (Action Ability)
