Solaris RPG
Energy Name:
Chaos

Chaos energy is most definitely the most misunderstood of all of the energies. In fact, even the smartest of scientists are left completely in the dark, as this energy identity should not be called “chaos” at all, but instead “primal” as there are several Prime Energies that are similar enough to be known as a single type. However, only the Watchers themselves know of the other Prime Energies, as none of the others have ever been observed, but their laws prohibit them from revealing this information.

Chaos was the earliest of the energies, as it is the only energy that does not require the BTMs to exist in this realm. History claims that it was a byproduct of the creation of the Nomaverse, removed for some time by the creator, Noma, as he feared its power uncontained in the galaxies he had made but later thought the better of it, knowing all the good the added disorder and entropy could actually create. Though, in order to protect his creations, he made it (and the other Prime Energies) unable to be wielded by any being.

Now enter the BTMs – unbeknownst to the creator of the Nomaverse and probably even the creator of Solaris, Dakon Killener, these nanobots would actually break the law created by Noma and allow for the control of chaos energy. Items known as chaotic artifacts come into existence in areas rich with powerful energies as they come together and are stabilized by the BTMs. These artifacts usually take the form of large crystals and over millennia, condense into what are known as chaos gems. By wielding these items, mere mortals can gain control over this energy as if it were any of the normal energies.

The dark red mixed with pitch black energy is extremely volatile and can cause random events and effects under different circumstances. It is very dangerous, even in the hands of a pro, and it is likely that a vast majority of those who are lucky enough to come across a chaos relic or artifact are unintentionally destroyed by themselves in an attempt to practice the art of this energy. Being struck by this energy has the effect to bend and contort other mystical and technological effects surrounding the affected, reducing such boons to ash.
