Ki

The first historically documented energy, ki appears as a mixture of white and red, often times with a heightened level of movement and activity over the other energies. While the normal energies are a combination of what is gathered and who gathered it, the intense essence of one’s own being required to produce ki makes it likely require less actual plasma energy to provide the same effect as other energies. Originally discovered by a remote sect of mercenaries, a fighter’s grasp of ki was generally used as a means of measuring his own faith in his martial prowess. Confidence mixed with a desire to better themselves was a perfect match for the creation of ki. Ironically, while ki was the first discovered and wielded, its greatest strength was its ability to counteract other users of force, a byproduct that would not be useful for countless generations until strong force users like wizards and warlocks entered the picture. It is said that if this group had shared this knowledge when they first discovered it and fighters all across Solaris were trained with a rudimentary grasp of ki, then the advent of casters would have never occurred as the blossoming art of using forces in battle would have been much less potent.

Ki energy can do damage to the victim’s brain, rattling his nerves and clouding his judgment. This jarring of the mind, though fleeting and without permanent effect, will take a toll on one’s ability to form force attacks. Unable to make them fully complete causes their effectiveness to wane dramatically.
Base Vitality of 50:
Affected targets receive a 10% penalty to force damage for the action they are stuck.
Base Vitality of 100:
Increase to a 20% penalty.
