They mend and they dance as they sing of their plight. While some think them fools or at least they are tools, They watch as the forged metal simmers and cools. They’ll each find their breastplate and flute and scim'tar, And travel to places away and afar. They ready themselves for the fight. |

Level 1 Ability:Sonic Blast - Twice per battle, as a vocal attack, the bard releases a powerful elemental cone of sonic force emanating from his mouth out a distance and at a maximum radius of 20 feet. All enemies within the cone must make a dodge roll with a 25% penalty to Dodge SVS to avoid taking damage as if it were a normal elemental attack. (Action Ability) Level 5 Ability:Dirge - Twice per battle, a bard may begin to sing a song that strengthens the defenses of himself and his allies for as long as the song persists. Dirge can last up to five rounds, but ends immediately if the bard interrupts the song by speaking, making a vocal attack, or by any other means. While in effect, the bard and all his allies receives a 10% bonus to all damage reductions. (Action Ability) Level 10 Ability:Shattering Screech - Once per battle, a bard can unleash a terrible vocal attack that focuses on a specific target, messing with his mind and shattering his concentration for three rounds. This is undodgeable and give a 25% penalty to Hit SVS. (Action Ability) Level 20 Ability:Healing - As his action, the bard can heal himself or an ally within five feet with his favored element. This heals for a number of hit points equal to his base elemental damage. If he has effects that alter his base elemental damage or bonus elemental damage, these bonuses and penalties do not influence his healing. The bard cannot use healing on a character with zero hit points, an inanimate object, or a construct. All elements heal the same. Once he uses healing, the bard may not use healing again on his next three turns. (Action Ability) Level 30 Ability:Lullaby - Once per battle, a bard may begin to sing a song that slows down enemies for as long as the song persists. Lullaby can last up to five rounds, but ends immediately if the bard interrupts the song by speaking, making a vocal attack, or by any other means. While in effect, all of the bard’s enemies suffer a 25% penalty to Dodge SVS. (Action Ability) Level 50 Ability:Resurrection - From this point forward, the bard can use his healing ability on characters with zero hit points. If used during or immediately following a battle, the character will come back to live a little disoriented. It usually takes someone an entire turn to get to his feet and get his bearings, even if he is used to the sensation of death through the use of the Arena or otherwise. If a character has been dead for more than 24 hours, resurrection is still possible (even upwards of years later); however, the revived character will receive an experience point penalty. Resurrecting in this way requires Staff permission. A dead character can refuse accepting a resurrection for any reason. (Utility Ability) Level 75 Ability:Stutter - Twice per battle, as a vocal attack, the bard releases a bellowing roar that affects all enemies in front of him up to 50 feet away. Each enemy must make a dodge roll to avoid being lifted off of their feet and thrown backwards away from the bard up to 100 feet. An enemy with a STR PVS greater than the bard’s WIS PVS will only be thrown 50 feet if he fails to dodge. This push deals no damage on its own, but who is to say what might be 50 feet behind the bard’s opponent. (Action Ability) Level 90 Ability:Chromatic Scale - A bard may begin to sing a song that hardens the resolve, and the steel, of himself and his comrades for as long as the song persists. Chromatic Scale can last indefinitely, but ends immediately if the bard interrupts the song by speaking, making a vocal attack, or by any other means. While in effect, the bard and all his allies receive a 10% bonus to damage of any type. There is no limit to the number of times Chromatic Scale can be used in a battle, but once it has ended, the bard must wait five turns before starting it back up again. (Action Ability) |
